During the last club day only one Snr Lites
rider supplied a flaggie which is a very poor turnout. Due to this
reason the Snr Lites class will again have to supply a flaggie at the
next club day. If we get insufficient flaggies next club day
the snr lites classes will have there laps cut before the other classes.
The points have been posted from last club day.

The club would especially like to thank the
parents who turned up at the working bee and where out on the track
trying to get rid of excess water and mud. Unfortunately their kids
did not ride due to the decision of the club to not include some junior
classes for the club day.

Due to the rain last night after much
deliberation between parents and committee members at the working bee it
has been decided that the club day will go ahead but only the classes
from 85cc 12-15 and above will be racing. That means that 85cc
9-11, 65cc, Div 1 and Div 2 will not be racing this club day. This
decision was not made lightly and reasons for the decision where:
1. Safely for the riders.
2. Track conditions.
3. Possibility of damage to the bikes (burnt clutches,
cooking engines).
4. Time restraints due to stranded bikes having to be dug
out of bogs.
At the end of the year if one on the riders
that missed this club day is in line for the club champion trophy his
points for the year will be averaged out and then allocated to them so
as not to be disadvantaged.

Due to some of the junior classes not being
run tomorrow, some of the parents of these riders that help out during a
club day will not be there. What we will need is for some
volunteers to come forward to help out tomorrow to cover these
positions. Could any volunteers please come to the back door
during sign on to see what position we need filled. One of
the main positions is a first aid officer to render the initial first
aid to a downed rider before an ambulance officer comes onto the track.

It has been reported to the club that during
the last club day there was young boy about 10/12 year old sneaking
around unattended sites and stealing from the sites. We hate the
thought that one of our members/members family are stealing from other
members. Unfortunate as it is, it is up to all members to
keep an eye out for any suspicious people walking around yours or
other sites or walking around with gear and equipment that looks like it
is not theirs. Any one caught stealing will be referred to
police and will be banned from the club and the track.

Club day again this weekend. So that
means working bee on Saturday morning. Please come along and help
to prepare the track for racing on Sunday. Also all Snr Lites A, B
and C grade riders you need to nominate a flaggie for the day. If
there is a problem with not enough flaggies nominated any time lost will
affect your races before it affects the other classes.

The club day yesterday went off well.
The idea of a class supplying flaggies worked as we got enough flaggies
from the nominated class so we were able to get practice away on time.
This enabled us to get in two rounds of 4 laps and one round of 3 laps.
We will continue to improve the running of the club day so we can get to
three 4 lap races. Next club day it will be the Snr Lites A, B and
C grade classes that will have to supply a flaggie for the day.
Another idea that we may try is having the club day sign on sheets on
the web site. This will allow riders to download the form,
fill it out and bring it to sign on on Sunday morning. So on a
Sunday all that will be required is to pay for the day and have your
name added to the class sheets.
The points for the club day have now been
posted to web site.

Here is some more info for the club day.
In line with the continued effort to reduce time on race days you will
no longer have to register prior to scrutineering. Both scrutineering
and registration will open at the same time and you may proceed in any
order. Please be aware however that your class position will not be
guaranteed until you have registered.
Only the Junior Lites class will need to present their log books at
scrutineering. This is to verify that you are endorsed to ride the bike
you present. Please note that all junior riders will still be required
to present log books at registration as normal.
