Well riders, that’s it for 2008 (nearly !). 10 rounds of racing and countless hours of practice have gone by and we have had mostly positive feedback from you all.

The last race day on Nov 23^rd was going along well until two simultaneous incidents early in round 3 resulted in a long delay that cut the day short. This was most unfortunate as we were looking at getting through quite well time wise. We were battling with dust all day also with the unpredictable Qld summer weather keeping us “second guessing” with watering on the Saturday. Anyway, more great racing was witnessed on the day and those who came through with the points lead in their class for the year had most definitely worked hard and earned their places on top of the ladder. Congratulations to you all, especially our club champions for 2008 – Andrew Weston in the seniors and Paul Hart in the juniors. These two kicked butt in ‘08!

Of course, we wouldn’t have race days at all without all the dedicated members who get up early on Sundays and get down and participate. This includes riders, parents and officials. Everyone plays a part in these days and make the club survive, so we look forward to ’09 and hopefully we can see the club grow and get even better.
