Welcome to the February 2006 newsletter. |
The first club day, held on Feb 5th was a great success with the track in “tip top” condition thanks to the help of some overnight rain and lots of hard work by the track committee and working bee helpers. . |
There was a problem with some of the classes being over subscribed and unfortunately some riders missed out on their first choice race class. This club day was very popular and there were not enough positions for everyone. We are allowed a maximum of 30 gates due to the track design and rulings by MAQ. The race format which has been in place for some years now will not be changed in the short term and we have time constraints due to the neighbours and council. It is recommended that you get in early to secure your entry. Please, don’t vent your anger at the club officials and helpers. Everyone who runs these club meetings are unpaid volunteers and are doing the best job that they can within the rules of Motorcycling Australia and the recourses that we have. The committee members and helpers are giving up a considerable amount of their own time and energies to make the club run efficiently and to provide the facilities that we all use and if it wasn’t for all the hard work that has been put in by these and previous committee members, the club would not exist today. As everyone was reminded at riders briefing, if you wish to have any input into how the meetings should be run, the proper place to express your opinions is at the club meetings held on the first Monday of each month at the Showmans Club, Stanmore Road, Yatala starting at 7pm. |

There were some changes to the track including a new tabletop jump before the finish line and some corners have been modified. There will be some minor changes and fine tuning coming to these after rider feedback. |
