Welcome to the March 2006 newsletter.

Unfortunately, the club day of 5^th March had to be cancelled due to bad weather. The track had been prepped on the Thursday but heavy rains on Friday scoured out areas that couldn’t be repaired in time on a boggy surface.

The committee will allocate another club day to replace this one (possibly a two day event) so keep an eye on upcoming newsletters and the website.

As some people may be aware, there have been some changes to the GCR’s that will require all new junior competition licence applicants and those upgrading from Nipper to Junior Rec and Comp, to complete formal training / coaching. There will be a Log Book system to prove that the required training / coaching has been completed. In each case, 5 hours of training will be required.

This requirement will be effective from 1^st July 2006. The committee is looking into obtaining the services of a recognised coach and providing coaching sessions possibly on a weekday afternoon. Keep an eye on upcoming newsletters and the website for more details as they come to hand.
