Text Box: Welcome to the October 2007 newsletter.

There’s been a newsletter drought lately. Of course, the August club day was unfortunately cancelled due to persistent rain during the week prior which meant we couldn’t prepare the track.

The September club day was a great meeting (after the Ambo’s finally turned up) with perfect weather and some nice rain on Saturday night to settle the dust.

There was some exciting close racing all day and with minimal incidents, we were able to make up for lost time and complete the program.

We had many complements about the track on the day, and have been getting positive comments by email to the website. Steve Freiberg and his guys spent a great deal of time on track prep with some of the corners and jumps modified and some sandy sections added.  We also had a big turnout for the working bee so the venue looked perfect for race day. Many thanks to everyone who puts in the effort to make our race days the great events they are.

Text Box: The “WATER LEVY” that we have had in place on practice days to cover our costs in buying water will be removed as of this weekend. Our dams are looking good after the recent rains, but if we dry up again we will have to look at the levy again in the future. Fingers crossed for some summer rains. Club membership prices for this year have been reduced also – see Kath at the canteen for details.
