Listed below are archive news stories.

25 Oct 08 - The overall points have now been posted.

24 Oct 08 - The points from the last club day have been posted to website.  The overall results have not been finished yet.

13 Oct 08 - The web site will not be updated for about 10 days as I will be away on holidays.  I will post the scores from the next club day on my return.

8 Oct 08 - The points from the last club day have now been posted.

5 Oct 08 - There will be no club meeting this Monday night.  The date of next meeting will be advised.

2 Oct 08 - Club day this weekend so that means working bee on Sat.   As the weather is starting to heat up there is plenty of grass to cut and wipper snip.  So please remember to bring some tools with you.   As was mentioned after the last club day don't turn up to the working bee just to set up your area and then leave without doing at least a couple of hours work or you will find someone in your area on Sunday you have been warned.   Also for those that pre sign on you must sign on by 7:45 on Sunday morning or your position could go to some one else.

8 Sep 08 - For those planning on coming to the track for practice on Sunday 14th September, please be aware that there will be an APRILIA promotional ride day also running on that date.  We will be running riding sessions just for these bikes and the various guests that they have invited, so the result will be that there will be fewer sessions for members than usual.   There will be a small reduction in the sign on fees for the day.  Aprilia have invited any of our members who would be interested in riding one of their machines on the day to ring and book.  If you want to have a ride,
ring  MARK IMMER Ph 0417943948

8 Sep 08 - John Cooper who is a member of our club contested the QLD Classic MX Titles last weekend and won the pre 85 sidecar class and will now contest the Australian Title in Nov in SA at Krystal Brook.  Click here for a photo.

2 Sep 08 - The working bee had a good turn out on Sat.  Thanks to the members who stayed around for a couple of hours and helped out.   For those members that came along and set up their area, pre-signed on, kicked a few rocks around on the track and then left, be aware that if you are not prepared to help prepare the track and surrounds for club day, don't bother to turn up.   If you are not prepared to help, the area you have marked out will be removed and you will not be pre-signed on.   Setting up an area and signing on prior to club day is reward for those that give up 2 to 3 hours of there time to help the club out.  This may sound harsh but there was only 4 people left by 10:30 and still had all the sprinklers to be checked and repaired.

2 Sep 08 - The points for the senior classes have now been posted.  Also the 65cc C Grade scores have been corrected.

1 Sep 08 - The points for the junior classes have been posted.

29 Aug 08 - For those of you who are attending the working bee tomorrow and pre sign on for Sunday, remember that you still have to come to sign on to pay and sign indemnity sheet.  Also your pre sign on is only valid until 7:45 if you have not signed on by then you will not be guaranteed a position  in your class.  Just because you have pre signed on does not mean that you can turn up after 8:00 and expect to get a race.

25 Aug 08 - Remember it is club day this weekend.   There is a working bee on Saturday so we need all the helpers we can get, if you are available please come along as many hands will make light work of it.

The poll of members about the race format has had about 90 responses.  At this stage it is about even.  The poll will finish on Friday night so if you haven't voted yet you better be quick.   The results will be counted and a decision will be announced during the riders brief.

14 Aug 08 - The August newsletter has now been posted to the web site.

5 Aug 08 - During the meeting last night the race format on club days was hotly debated and it was decided to put it to the vote of members.  First option is to have 2 x 3 lap races and if time permits round 3 will be 4 laps instead of 3 laps this will mean up to 10 laps of racing.  For unlimited it will be 2 x 5 lap races.   Second option is 2 x 5 lap races which will again give you 10 laps of racing.  Unlimited will be 1 x 10 lap race.  To cast you vote click here.

Other points from the meeting are we still required a First Aid person to help out on club days, if we can't find someone it will cost the club another $500 for another ambulance person.  We still have had no one come forward to act as steward and clerks on club days next year.  At this stage it is looking like there will be a very limited number of club days unless officials come forward.

The club has some suspicions that on practice days some riders may not be signing on and paying to ride.  If anyone is caught not signing on they will be asked to leave and banned from the club for the rest of the year.  Another problem is that some junior riders may be riding bikes that they are not permitted to ride ie riding a 450.  In both these cases if they are involved in an accident and they get hurt or hurt someone else it could have legal ramifications.

5 Aug 08 - There has been some changes to the points from last club day for Snr Lites A and B grade and 65cc B and C grade.

22 Jul 08 - The points from the last club day have now been posted.

10 Jul 08 - The June newsletter has now been posted to the website.

8 Jul 08 - There was a club meeting last night and here are some points from the meeting.
The next newsletter will be out in the next couple of weeks and from now on for economical reasons it will not be sent out by mail.   The newsletter will still be emailed out, on the website and a hard copy will be available from the canteen.
The club requires a member with a First Aid Certificate to help out on  club day's.  It involves being first at an accident to determine if the ambulance officer is require to attend to the injured rider.  This person is required because if an ambulance officer has to go onto the track the race generally has to be red flagged and with the majority of the time the ambulance officer is not required, it only wastes time which we don't have on a club day.   If someone is willing to help us out on a club day please contact Tony or Troy to arrange.
As has been reported before the club will be without a Steward/Clerk for our club days next year.  We need some people to put up they hand to do these important functions on a club day.   Without a steward and clerk there can be no club day.  For anyone interested here are some dates for upcoming courses.
27 Sep 08 - Non Competition Official
28 Sept 08 - Race Secretary or Sructineer
11 Oct 08 - Generic
11 Oct 08 - Steward/Clerk
All courses are being held at Beenleigh, contact Tony  or Motorcycling QLD for more details
Lastly it is getting close to the Council making a decision on our lease.  A lot of members have emailed councilors with their concerns about the possible closure of the track and the message is starting to get though.   But we still need more members to write to the councilors so that we can overpower the complaints about the track.   It is up to all the members to have an active role in keeping our track open, but if you are one of the few who doesn't care if the track closes, do nothing.

29 Jun 08 - In today's Sunday Mail there was an article about the CMC doing a review on the Off Road Motorbike Noise Laws.  They are asking for submissions about these laws.  It is in everyone's best interests to make a submission to the CMC on how these laws effect you.   This will also have an impact on our club members future especially if the Stanmore track is closed in October.  This is the web address www.cmc.qld.gov.au have a look and if you are interested in continuing riding your bike off road without police interference make a submission, it will only cost you a bit of your spare time.

Also thanks to the members who have written/emailed to the local councilors about the possible closure of our track.  But it is getting closer to a decision so we still need more members writing  to the councilors to get our message across.   The more letters the better chance we have of staying open.

6 Jun 08 - The web site is back to normal now so you can submit for sale ads and rider profiles.   The points from the May club day have now been posted to web site.

3 Jun 08 - The club day for this weekend has been CANCELLED due to lack of officials.   Also the track WILL NOT BE OPEN this weekend as Troy and Ashley are having a weekend off.  Track will reopen on Sat 14 Jun.

3 Jun 08 - I will have the results from the May club day posted in the next couple of days.

3 Jun 08 -  I apologise for any inconvenience with the website being down for the last 4 weeks but it has been outside of my control.   About 6 weeks ago I was contacted by the people who host our website and said because we are getting so many people visiting our site we have been charged an extra $180 a month and they suggest that we change plans and we would get a better plan for the same price without the extra charges.  So we agreed to the plan change and I expected it to happen before I went away on holidays to America.  Well the change did not happen until I was in America and I was not told that the plan change included moving the web site to another server.  The change happened on about the 4 May and since then I have not had access to the website.  After much complaining to host company I finally got access to the web site last night.   There is still some problems with submitting for sale ads and rider profiles but hopefully this will be fixed soon.

29 Apr 08 - I am going on leave for 4 weeks so the website will not be updated as regularly.  The results from next club day will not be posted until first week of June.  Rider profiles and for sale ads will not be uploaded during May.

25 Apr 08 - I have removed some of the old for sale ads.  If I have removed your ad and bike is still for sale resubmit ad.

23 Apr 08 - The points from last club day have been posted.

22 Apr 08 - It has come to our attention that 2 riders rode at the last club day when they were not members.   We believe that a member lent their card to these 2 riders so they could sign on.   We will be taking more notice during sign on in the future and if we discover members using their card to sign on non members, the non members will be told to leave and the member will also be told to leave and their membership will be terminated.   If anyone has information about this matter please contact the club.

Also during the club day there was two instances of violent behavior  by riders and family members.   An investigation is currently underway, if anyone has any information about these two disturbances, please contact Tony majorltd@bigpond.com   This type of behavior will not be tolerated and the offending members will be banded from the club.

16 Apr 08 - There is a working bee on this Sat to prepare track for racing on Sun.   We need as many people  as possible to bring wipper snippers so we can try and get on top of the grass.   The grass at this time of year is too much for our caretaker to keep on top of.   There has been Brown Snakes seen in the inner track areas and with the grass so long is a safety issue for the flaggies and people using the hoses.

9 Apr 08 - The Mar-Apr newsletter has now been posted to web site.

8 Apr 08 - We would like to thank the individual who smeared their excrement over the walls in the male toilets on the last club day.   If they like to come forward they will be rewarded with a lifetime ban from the club.   If anyone sees this sort of behavior at the club please inform someone so we can take appropriate action.    Because of this senseless action the club will be forced to lock the toilets and the key can be signed for at the canteen, this will make it easier to track down the vandal.

8 Apr 08 - The points from the club day have now been loaded to web site.

31 Mar 08 - Remember it is a club day this weekend to make up for the postponed Feb club day.  There is a working bee on this Sat to prepare track for racing on Sun.

18 Mar 08 - The points from club day 2 have now been posted.   Remember our next club day will be on 6 Apr 08 to make up for the club day that was postponed in February.

13 Mar 08 - The sponsors page has been updated to show all our sponsors for the year.   Visit this page and support our sponsors.

12 Mar 08 - There is a working bee on this Sat to prepare track for racing on Sun.

12 Mar 08 - As all members should be aware we are under the threat of closure in Oct this year.   We are getting complaints about noise and dust from local residents.   We have the noise issue pretty well under control but the dust problem is another issue.   I was at the track for about 4 hours on last Sat and the track was very dusty and with a strong wind was blowing the dust towards the residents.   In all the time I was there I only saw one rider on the track with a hose in his hand.  There was approximately 80 riders there at the time.   If riders are not prepared to get out on the track and pick up a hose, don't come complaining to the committee if the track is closed in Oct.   It shouldn't be up to the same 3 or 4 people who are always out on the track to try and keep the dust down.  As riders you should be aware of how much better it is to ride the track when there is no dust and a bit of moisture in the track to improve drive.   It only takes each rider to spend 15 minutes on a hose once a day and we would never have a dust problem.   If the dust problem dose not improve, Troy will have no option but to stop practice twice a day for 20 minutes to put sprinklers on.   This is not a good solution as it makes the track too wet, uses excess water and takes away riding time.

10 Mar 08 - Here is an important message for all members from your president.

All members,

The local government elections will be held this Saturday 15th March and this is the time where we all need to be aware how the councillors that we vote for stand on the issues that are important to us.
To date, we have NOT been given confirmation that we will be able to renew our lease into next year.
I urge all those who are interested in retaining Stanmore as a motocross venue to ask questions, send emails or ring up these candidates and put them on the spot.
If we are not heard on the issue, we don't exist in their minds.

You can find your which council you are in, which division you are in and who your candidates are at www.ecq.qld.gov.au
This is particularly important to those members who reside in the Gold Coast Council area.
Go to www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au for details.
The track is within division 1, the current councilor is Donna Gates.

Good luck
Tony Major - President

4 Mar 08 - At this stage the club day that was cancelled on 24 Feb will now be held on 6 Apr.

19 Feb 08 - Remember there will be no club day this weekend but the track will be open for practice on Sat and Sun.

14 Feb 08 - STOP PRESS  For all those planning on racing the Sunny State series at Coolum this weekend it has been cancelled.  It will no be run on 23 and 24 Feb 08.   As these dates are the same as our next club day, our club day has been cancelled till a day to be fixed probably in April.   Listen to Track Info line for details on what practice sessions will be available on 23-24 Feb 08.

14 Feb 08 - The first newsletter for the year has been posted to the website.

5 Feb 08 - If you have sent your licence away to MQ for upgrade or renewal and have not received your new licence prior to practice or club day contact MQ so they can fax you a confirmation of your licence prior to turning up at the track, as no licence no ride.

3 Feb 08 - There has been instances where members have turned up for practice without their licence.  In this case you have two options, option one buy a day licence or option two is go home.  It is the riders responsibility to provide a valid licence not the club's to keep a list of licence holders.   There has been cases where the person without a licence has abused Kath in the canteen, this will not be tolerated.  Anyone who abuses staff running practice or club days especially Kath in the canteen will HAVE THEIR MEMBERSHIP REVOKED and banned from the track.

25 Jan 08 - I have culled some of the old for sale ads.  If you ad was on of them and it is still for sale resubmit ad.

22 Jan 08 - Just a reminder that Chinese, other import bikes and pit bikes are not permitted to be ridden at our track.   Only motocross and other MA approved bikes can be ridden.

22 Jan 08 - The track will be open for practice this Monday from 10am until 2pm.

21 Jan 08 - The points for the first club day have now been posted.  The delay has been caused by riders not having correct numbers as per there sign on sheets.   From next club day any wrong numbers or different bikes will not be scored, it is too much work for the scorers to chase up on a club day.

All last years rider profiles are being removed, resubmit your current rider profiles and remember it is only for club members.

14 Jan 08 - The first club day has been run and won.  We had a few problems with the pump, a blown water pipe and with the start gates but overall it was a successful day.   We had a total of 239 riders for the day which is the biggest turn out ever on a club day.  Last year the most riders we had was 198 on club day 2.

We had a few angry people who were not members last year and turned up expecting a ride without becoming a member prior to the club day.  Our policy is and always will be to look after our members.  We will not turn away our members because we have allowed non members to sign up on the day.   We only have 30 gates and some classes fill quickly.   If you what to race in our club days turn up early on race day with a current membership and you will get a ride.

On another note, the scorers had a very difficult day with riders not putting their correct race number on the sign on sheets or changing bikes/numbers during the day. They tried unsuccessfully to get riders to come to the score tower when requested to sort out number/bike problems.  From next club day the scorers will not try to sort out these problems.   If a bike number does not match the sign on sheets the rider WILL NOT BE SCORED and scores WILL NOT BE ADJUSTED LATER so do the correct thing at sign on and get the correct details entered.   If there is a reason to change bikes/numbers tell the scores prior to the race and you will then be scored.

10 Jan 08 - The photos that Megan took last year have been removed from the website.   Megan will not be taken photos on club days this year.

8 Jan 08 - Due to the track being closed last weekend there will be someone available to to club memberships at the canteen on Sat between 9 and 11am.

8 Jan 08 - There is a working bee on this Sat 12 Jan.   As this is the first working bee of the year there is a lot to be done to be ready for racing on Sun.   At this time of year the grass is growing quicker than we can cut it so we need people to bring whipper snippers, lawn mowers, shovels and picks.  A couple of 4WD with box trailers is also required to pick up rocks and general rubbish that is lying around the track.

31 Dec 07 - For all those planning to race at the first club day on 13 Jan please remember to renew your club membership this weekend as there will be limited time available on club day to renew memberships.

16 Dec 07 - The final newsletter for the year has now been posted.

11 Dec 07 - There is a new web page for any one who requires info about coaching at our track.  Just click on the link above.

11 Dec 07 - Memberships for next year are now available from the canteen, same price as last year.  At this stage our first club day is on 13 Jan 08 so there is not a lot of time.   Anyone who plans to race the first club day is to sign up prior to the 13 Jan 08 as there will be little time to sign up new members on the day.

28 Nov 07 - There was a mistake in the 65cc A Grade overall results, this mistake has now been fixed.

27 Nov 07 - The points from the last club day have been posted to web site.

26 Nov 07 - Practice days for the next few weeks are 8-9, 15-16 and 22-23 Dec (22-23 Dec will operated 10:00am to 3:00pm) and 5-6, 12-13 and 19-20 Jan 08.

19 Nov 07 - The last club day is on this weekend to determine who are our club champions.  Come along and watch an eventful day of racing as a few people will be racing for sheep stations.  Also remember the club's annual meeting will be held on Mon 3rd Dec at 7:00pm at the Showman's club.  This is your chance to have your say on how the club is run next year.  All the current committee will be standing done and all positions will be put up for the vote.  Show your support for the club by getting involved in the running of the club.

15 Nov 07 - The Nov newsletter has now been posted to web site.

13 Nov 07 - We received this invite today, if anyone who lives in the area,  please attend if you have the spare time.  It is your chance to view your thoughts on the potential closing of our track in Oct next year.   Let it be known if our track is closed it will only increase the numbers of illegal riders in the area.

This Saturday afternoon from 3.00pm to 5.00pm there is a public meeting at the Pacific Pines Community Centre to address the illegal trail bike problem they have in that area. Local Councillors and Police will also be there. Phil Gray (MP for Gaven) has asked us along to let people know what we are trying to achieve with a precinct however he would also like a couple of representatives from local bike clubs along to speak to people about the "right way" kids should be enjoying their bikes (ie IN A CLUB!).

This doesn't need to be the Presidents just a rep from your club that can talk to people in small groups. If you or a club representative can attend please let me know on 0409279929, this is a good opportunity to show people why they need to support our local motorcycle clubs.

6 Nov 07 - The club Christmas party and presentation night is on 1st Dec.  At this stage we have only received 3 replies.   If you want to come fill out the form attached to the last newsletter and return it to the club by 15 Nov.   If we don't get approx 200 people attending, the club with lose a lot of money and remember it is your money.  If you didn't get the last newsletter remember it is on the website under newsletters.

6 Nov 07 - Nathan Crawford is conducing junior race school coaching on the following dates - 7th, 14th and 28th Nov and 5th and 12th Dec.   These schools will run from 2 to 4pm and cost $50.00
Nathan is also conducting 2 day schools on 18/19 Dec 07 and 2/3 Jan 08, these schools cost $200 and run from 8:30am until 4pm.   To book for these schools contact Nathan on Ph 0401 812 125 or email ncrawford@mcleodaccess.com.au.

26 Oct 07 - Photos from the last 2 club days have been posted to the pictures page.  At this stage Megan has sold very few photos, if by the end of year Megan hasn't sold more photos she may no  longer provide this service.   It is up to all club members to decide if they what this service.

As web site space is limited only 1 photo per rider is posted, but there could be up to 5 photos per rider available, speak to Megan about these other photos.

17 Oct 07 - I have been receiving a few for sale ads and rider profiles that are using the photos supplied to the web site by Megan.   These photos are water marked and protected by copyright so I am unable to add these pictures to your ads and profiles.  If you want to use these photos contact Megan and she will release the photos for me to use.

Also Megan spends a lot of her free time at the track taking photos and supplying these photos for use on the web site.   Megan has watermarked these photos to protect her copyright of the photos.    All these photos are for sale with the water mark removed.  To date Megan has sold very few of these photos and will decide at the end of the year whether to continue to provide this service to the club.   So If you want Megan to continue taking photos on club days, then support her by purchasing some photos.  These photos make a great Christmas gift idea.

17 Oct 07 - The points from the last club day have now been posted to the web site.

10 Oct 07 - I have just culled some more old for sale ads from the web site.  If yours has been culled and you still want the ad please resubmit.   As I get very few people telling me they have sold there ads I need to cull to save space on web site.

Regards
Kaj Coulter

4 Jul 07 - The points from club day 5 have now been posted to web site.

3 Jul 07 - The club had another great club day on Sunday with 182 riders present.   Again the track was excellent thanks to the work done by Steve and his team.

However there was a couple of complaints.   Firstly about speeding in the pits.  One rider is going to receive a written warning and any further complaints about him and he will be banned from the club.  It is all riders responsibility to keep speed down to walking pace in the pits.   If it continues to be a problem the club may introduce a NO RIDING in the pits policy.   Secondly there was a complaint about how long the the starter took to drop the gates after the 5 second board was raised, the complaint was he took to long to drop gates it should have been between 0-5 seconds.  The starter was dropping the gate between about 5 to 8 seconds and this is within the guidelines that the gates must drop between 5-10 seconds after the 5 second board is shown.

3 Jul 07 - The web site has been receiving inappropriate items through the add news story page  because of this the add news story page has been deleted.

26 Jun 07 - It is our next club day this weekend.  Hope to see as many as possible for the working bee on Sat, remember to bring some tools.   The dam is filling up with this rain and once it is full we shouldn't have any problems about water again.

26 Jun 07 - I have removed old for sale ads.  If you ad is still required please resubmit ad

12 Jun 07 - The track will be open for practice this weekend 16-17 Jun and should be open every weekend from now on except for club day weekends.

There will be another 2 day clinic in the September holidays - dates to be advised

31 May 07

Dear Members,

Unfortunately, we are again unable to open the track for practice this weekend, 2nd and 3rd June. We have had to initiate immediate work on our main dam to remove silt build-up, and are therefore unable to irrigate the track as we are required to do at all times during practice and race days
We are hoping to be up and running by the following weekend (9th and 10th June) which will be practice only, and NOT a club race day, should we be open.
Please visit the website, check your emails and/or ring the club info line for up to date information.
We do apologise for any inconvenience and we look forward to re opening [the best track in SEQ] in the near future.
Regards,
Tony Major
ADMCC

28 Mar 07 - Another great club day on the weekend.    There were 198 riders on the day which would have to be the biggest day we have had.  The track was sensational all day thanks to Steve and his team and to all the members who watered the track during the day.  This meant we were able to get the moisture into the track without having to stop to put the sprinklers on.  It was unfortunate that the canteen ran out of food but this was due to the large turnout on the day.

20 Mar 07 - It is the second club day this weekend.   Remember it is a working bee on this Saturday so hope to see a good turn out again.   There will be no sign on for new members again this club day.    Noise testing will be carried out and noisy bikes will be excluded from  racing.

8 Mar 07 - The Feb newsletter has been posted to website.   There was an error in the ad for the 2 pairs of tracker boots for sale, the correct ph number is now listed.

7 Mar 07 - After a full review of the results from the last club day there has been some changes, mainly to names and race numbers.  There has been some point changes but it only effected the results in the Vets Over 45 class.  The updated points have now been uploaded to the points page.

16 Feb 07 - Points for the 1st club day have now been posted to web site.  If you think the  points are wrong or your name or number is incorrect please email me.

13 Feb 07 - There is a problem with submitting rider profiles and for sale ads at the moment as it is asking for a username and password.  I will advise when I have fixed the problem.

8 Feb 07 - First club day this weekend so all juniors remember to bring your log books, NO LOG BOOK NO RIDE.   For all the riders riding in the JNR Lites class you must either produce a licence endorsed for either a 250 4 stroke/125 2 stroke or show 5 hours training in your log book on that bike and also you must bring your log book/licence to scrutineering to confirm what bike you are riding.  This has to be done to comply with MQ regulations.   If you are unable to produce this info you will not be permitted to ride.  For all owners of bikes that have aftermarket exhaust on your bike, noise testing will be carried out and any bike over the limit will not be allowed to compete. For Snr Lites riders we will be taking 60 riders this club day, 30 in A & B grades and 30 in C Grade and each will have its own race.

8 Feb 07 - All rider profiles from last year will be removed shortly.   You can now resubmit you profile with up to date info.   Remember rider profiles will only be posted for Club Members.

30 Jan 07 - Remember this weekend is your last chance to sign up before the first club day, as there will be no sign on's on race day.

24 Jan 07 - Remember the track is closed this weekend.   If you are looking for something to do there is a working bee on at the track this Saturday morning to get the track ready for first club day in a couple of weeks.

18 Jan 07 -  The January newsletter has now been posted to the website.

17 Jan 07 - The club is still looking for a Level 2 Scruntineer and someone to run the canteen on club days.  The first club day is only 3 weeks away and these positions need to be filled.  Also be reminded that to race at the club days you are required to be a member of the club prior to the club day, generally new membership will not be done on a club day unless after sign on is completed there is a vacancies on the grid.    Noise testing will be carried out at all club days this year.   If your bike is marginally over the limit you will be warned to have it fixed by next club day.   If it is a lot over the limit you will be sent home.

17 Jan 07 - FOUND. Helmet possibly belonging to club rider/member. Found Saturday 6 January '07. Contact me on 32874057 and provide description for its return. (This ad has also been posted on notice board at track.

8 Jan 07 - I will be reviewing the items for sale and deleting items that have been posted for a long time.  If you still require your  item on the website please contact me through the feedback form.

15 Dec 06 - The Dec newsletter has now been posted to website.

6 Dec 06 - The club is still looking for someone to be the club treasurer for next year.  It will be very difficult for the club to be able to function efficiently without a treasurer.  If you would like to take on this role please contact Troy or Arty.

14 Nov 06 - The November newsletter has now been posted to web site.

7 Oct 06 - Last night was the annual general meeting and of the 493 members of the club only 21 turned up which is a very poor result.   Currently we are still without a treasurer and some one to run the canteen on club days.    If the treasurer position is not filled the club will have to employ an accountant to carry out the duties which will cut into the available funds for track improvements and other benefits to the members.   If the no one volunteers to run the canteen on club days it will be closed meaning no drinks or hot food.  This is a paid job so if someone is willing to take on this role please contact the club.

5 Oct 06 - Remember it is the general meeting on Monday night, so be there to have your say on how the club operates next year or else forever hold your peace.

29 Oct 06 - The photos from the last club day have been posted to the web site.

26 Oct 06 - The points for the last round and final points for the year have been posted to the web site.

26 Oct 06 - For the end of year trophies the rider must have ridden at 5 club days to qualify for a trophy.  If you think you are going to get a trophy check that your name is spelt correctly in the score sheets as that is how it will be spelt on the trophy.   If it is spelt incorrect ring Terri ASAP on 0419 785 113 with correct spelling.

25 Oct 06 - Remember the annual general meeting is on Monday the 6 Nov at the Showman's Club on Stanmore road.   We need to elect a complete new committee as the current committee will be standing down and will not be renewing their positions as some members are leaving the club and others have had positions for a number of years and need a break.   Also we will need to identify officials for club days next year as again current officials are leaving the club.   If we want club days next year these positions will have to be filled on Monday night.   So come along and support the running of your club.

17 Oct 06 - The October newsletter has been added to the web site.

11 Oct 06 - The Xmas party will now be at the track and not at the Showmans Guild.   All other details are the same, there are rides for the kids, a spit roast catering company and a band.   As it is being held at the track you can now bring your own alcohol and camping overnight is okay.

8 Oct 06 - The photos from the last club days have been removed from the site and replaced with photos from the last 2 club days.  These photos have been watermarked to protect the copyrights of the originals.  If you would like a copy of the original photo contact Megan here or Ph 0405 761 222.

2 Oct 06 - The rider profile page is only available for current members of our club.

20 Sep 06 - I have removed a lot of old files out of the four sale page as people are not telling me when they are sold.  So if you fore sale items was more than 3 months old it will be gone.   If you item has sold please tell me.

13 Sep 06 - The September newsletter has been added to the web site.

11 Sep 06 - There are a few bogus rider profiles being submitted to the web site, all profiles are checked and if found to be false will not be added to web site.  If you believe a profile is false email me so I can remove the profile.

30 Aug 06 - Working bee is on again this Sat morning.  We are hoping for another good turn out like last club day.  Club day is on Sun be early and remember no new members will be signed up on Sun.

30 Aug 06 - The photos from the last club day have now been posted to the web site.

18 Aug 06 - The Aug newsletter has now been posted to the web site.

8 Aug 06 - Points have been added to website for Club Day 6.

7 Aug 06 - The working bee on Saturday had a good turn out and with the number of people there the work was finished early.   If we can get the same response each working bee it would be lessen the load on the few that are there every working bee.

1 Aug 06 - A working bee is on again this Saturday.   If you can spare a few hours please come down to the track to help out as the numbers have been dropping of over the past couple of working bee.   It starts at 7:30 and usually finishes at 11:00.

1 Aug 06 - Pictures from club day on 15 Feb 06 have now been posted to website.   Again if you require a full size copy of any picture contact Megan Gow here.

12 Jun 06 - Since the last club day there has been some re-grading of riders. In 85cc 12-15, Jake Keevers, Jesse Owen and Leroy Tilley have been moved to A Grade and Rhannon Collins has been moved up to B Grade.  In Junior Lites, Brodie Downs, Cameron Campbell and Jesse Owen have been moved to B Grade.   In Open, Brian Cullen has been moved to B Grade.    The club congratulates these riders on their new grading.

These gradings are only applicable at the Albert District Motocross Club and do not apply to any other club or national event.   Riders that have moved by the club can take all of their current points with them up to equal 3rd place in the higher grade.

10 Jun 06 - This club day could all rides please have the same back number as their bike number as it becomes to difficult for the scorers when the numbers don't match.   If scorers can not correctly identify the rider no points will be allocated to them.

10 Jun 06 - The track will be closed this Sunday 18 June after the club day on the Saturday.

10 Jun 06 - Remember club day is Sat and not Sun this week, timings are the same.   There is a working bee on Friday afternoon, so if anyone has a spare couple of hours your help will be appreciated.

8 Jun 06 - The points from the last club day for Open C and Snr Lites C have been amended due to a couple of errors.

29 May 06 - Points for the senior classes have now been posted to web site.

23 May 06 - Points for the junior classes from last club day are now posted.   Senior results are still being finalised.

23 Apr 06 - With the new practice restrictions that have been forced onto us by Motorcycling Queensland, it has caused some heart ache for both the practice organisers and riders alike.   Please do not complain to practice organisers as they are volunteers, about being to long between practice sessions as we can only have 20 riders on the track during a session.   If the rope is across the track entrance,  DO NOT enter  the track as the 20 rider limit has been reached.  You have to wait for next session.

22 Apr 06 - It is good to see an increasing  number of people watering the track during the day.   It has meant that practice can keep going and not having to stop to put the sprinklers on.   This is greatly appreciated by the practice organisers.   It also means we get a better track to ride on as the dust can be better controlled with the hoses without getting mud patches.

10 Apr 06 - The April newsletter has now been posted to the website.  Also the points from the last club day have also been posted.

27 Mar 06 - Our 2nd club day is on this weekend so remember to be early for sign on as only limited positions available on the grid.   Also it as a working bee on the Sat morning, if your free your help is much appreciated.   Please bring a wipper snipper as grass is getting away from us again.

21 Mar 06 - The March newsletter has been updated today as a draft was used yesterday by mistake.   Also remember there is a Honda Smart training course on 11-12 Apr details are in the newsletter.

17 Mar 06 - The add rider profile page is working again.

17 Mar 06 - The add rider profile page is not working correctly at the moment hopefully it will be up and running soon.

12 Mar 06 - The track pictures have been updated to show all the changes that have been made in the past 6 months.   There is also a power point slide show of a lap around Stanmore.   This slide show is 8 Mb in size so suitable for broadband users only.

4 Mar 06 - Unfortunately the club day tomorrow has been cancelled.  With all the rain there are several washouts which have made the track unrideable.   The club day may be rescheduled for later in the year.   Can you please inform as many people as possible so we don't get to many turning up tomorrow.

1 Mar 06 - The second club day is on this Sunday, remember to sign on early as we can only accept the first 30 riders in each race.   The working bee is on Saturday so anyone with a spare couple of hours to help would be appreciated, the more people we get the quicker the work gets done.  For those that give up 3 hours of their time will receive 4 free practice tickets.

1 Mar 06 - To enter a rider profile onto this web site you MUST BE A MEMBER of the club.   It is a way for club members to promote themselves and there sponsors.

13 Feb 06 - The results from the first club day have now been posted to the points page.   Unfortunately some results announced at the end of the meeting were wrong and some trophies were presented  to the incorrect riders.   The club would appreciated for those that received the wrong trophy to return it at the next club day and receive the correct one.

07 Feb 06 - At the meeting last night, points from the first club day were discussed.   It was decided that at this stage all classes will remain the same for the second club day and we will again assess the classes to see if any changes can be made.   So at this stage if you want to race it your chosen classes be early for sign on.   It was decided that the track alterations worked well with the only change will be to change the down ramp of the new table top so it is not so steep.

07 Feb 06 - Well the first club day has been run and won.   It has been found that there are some errors in the results so we will be reviewing all results prior to placing them on the web site.   The track alterations were generally well received.  As the track work was only finished on the Sat a few soft spots and ruts formed but as the track beds down it will only improve.   It was unfortunate that some members were not able to ride in the classes that they wanted due to some classes already having a full grid.  With the amount of riders it was proved to be the correct decision to have an Ambulance on site for the speedy medical attention to injured riders.   The club wishes all the injured riders a speedy recovery.   See you all at the next club day.

2 Feb 06 - The rider profile upload page is now working.

31 Jan 06 - The committee would like to thank all the members that gave up there spare time last Saturday to help with the track preparation for racing next week.   It is heartening to see such a good turn out as it helps lighten the load on the committee members.   There is another working bee on this Saturday prior to racing on Sunday.   There is not much left to do so another good turnout will have the work done before lunch.   There has been some track alterations done to improve safety and some more to come to add extra challenges to the riders.

31 Jan 06 - The add for sale and add news stories pages are now working.   I am still working on getting the add rider profiles page working , hopefully be the first club day.
