The track will not open for practice today Saturday 6^th March due to the amount of water on the track. Please check the club info line and the website tomorrow morning to check if the track improves enough to open tomorrow Sunday, 7^th March.

The track will be open for practice on Saturday 6^th and Sunday 7^th March from 9.00am to 3.00pm, weather permitting.

The next club day is Sunday 14^th March, a working bee will be held on Saturday 13^th March to prepare the track for racing.

The committee meeting scheduled for tomorrow night has been moved to Wednesday 3 February, 7.00pm at the Showman's Club. The change is necessary due to a meeting scheduled for the same time on Tuesday between local residents and the Gold Coast Council regarding our Clubs future. Our club president, Paul Hart, will attend this meeting to ensure the Club's position is known and understood, and provide a briefing to ADMC members on Wednesday.

The next committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, 2nd February 2010 at the Showman’s club. The committee is considering replacing trophies with medallions for some or all classes on club days for 2010. Also being considered is a potential change to the race formats for A & B grade classes. If you would like to voice your opinion on any of these agenda items then turn up at the next committee meeting and have your say.

Members - Can you help. We are always looking for sand and mulch to improve the track surface. Do you work in the earthmoving or tree lopping industry and have access to free sand or mulch that can be delivered to the track. If so, give Paul a call on 0411 756 193 and let him know the details. The committee has made a decision to increase fees for junior riders by $5 on practice days to help cover ongoing expenses. Junior fees have not increased for some time whilst practice fees for seniors have seen two previous increases and will remain the same.

The clubs AGM was held at the Showmans club on Tuesday 1st December and new committee members were been voted in. The details will be updated on the Contacts page once they have been confirmed. Thanks to all of the new faces who showed up in support of the club and voiced their opinions. The next club meeting will be held on the 12 Jan 2010, remember all club members are welcome to attend so do make an effort to come along.

For all those riders that received a 1st, 2nd or 3rd end of year trophy in either B or C grade will automatically be upgraded to A and B grades for next year.

The club congratulates all trophy winners from yesterdays presentations. The final club day and overall results have now been posted to web site.

Remember it is the clubs annual general meeting this Tuesday night. As most of the committee is standing down this year we will require a new committee to be elected. As the club is still facing the prospect of closure in October next year the club will need a strong, committed committee to continue the fight to keep the track open. If you don't want to be forced over to share the new track with the Reedy Creek members and all the problems that this will cause to your time on the track and ability to get a ride on a club day, put your hand up and help to keep your track open.

The 2010 membership form is now on the forms page. The family membership will be $85 and single membership will be $60 next year. Also the track photos and power point slide show on the pictures page have been updated to reflect the new track design.

The points for the last club day have been completed but will not be posted until after club presentations next Sunday. Also to receive a end of year trophy you must have done 6 of the 10 rounds. This also applies for the participation trophies for the Division 1 riders.
